Well if she's willing to wear gloves/helmet/jacket/boots/draggin jeans, count yourself lucky.

Whats the differnce between falling off at 60 on a R1 or 60 on a Derbi gpr50?

or any other 50.....????????

On my 50 i wore jacket lid and gloves without fail! Most of the time boots too and in the winter i wore trousers too!

We don't have a problem with her wearing Draggin jeans but I just don't think they're suitable for all year riding, her getting cold and wet then robbing the bank of mum for textile trousers! Plus she's now moaning that the textile jackets are to big and bulky as she'll "only be going to college and back and that's only 6 miles each way"

That's pretty much the ultimatum at the moment, decent gear or get the bus!

I think steve should take a few pics (of his injuries) to put her off,, and get her to look at the "Always wear you ferking leathers" thread. I came off my 50cc a few times and once i only had jeans on, lucky it was only at 20mph. My **** hert after that and the gashes i had wern't pretty.. Still i learnt the hard way

I've tried that using my scarred knees as an example as i've come off twice at about 15mph wearing just jeans. I even showed her bigapes thread and her response was if that can happen with the proper gear what difference does it make?
