Hugger, as said coming to the time of year were muck, water etc will get sprayed up at your shock, so protect it! Have a look on eBay for huggers, i've just sold mine on there.

Bit of corrosion on the engine doesn't hurt things, the shock shaft corroding and popping seals does have an effect!

Right so which one to go for. I think i will just have to go for the black ones as i cant afford to get colour coded just yet.

Which make are the best and where to get them from.

PS i keep checking ebay but cant find any for a k6.

The best hugger I've seen is the Genuine Suzuki one, but its not cheap but you will get a colour coded on if you go that way.

If you want to keep cr*p off your bike, then fit a fenda extenda on the front mudguard, it might look horrible but it really does keep down the amount of muck through up off the front wheel.

A K3 one wont fit as they moved the toolbox on your model, so IIRC you want a K5 onwards one otherwise it aint going to fit.

Do you ride in the rain, if not get the belly pan if thats what you really want.

Either way I would get the hugger first, I had an OEM one fitted when I purchased my SV, was better than the majority I saw.

I have a fender extender on the bike allready.

Been looking at suzuki ones but i think they are out of my price at moment.
