without a doubt ... it's like riding a totally different bike its much more enjoyable.. no more rattled teeth and my bottom stays on the seat over bumps more..

.............................

i got the position right on the gilles variobars today. all i can say is its much much much better.. its more along the lines of having a set of renthals but not as sitty up, more like a set of touring bars. they are still a wee bit to wide for my liking but its kinder to my arms and hands.

i'm working on it .. batteries charging as i type .. so 2morra if weather permits i will post some lovely pics ... ohh bugger i just rememberd!!! that meens i have to wash the bike... hmmm ah well such is life.

................

sorted the variobars and its a revalation .. more like renthals the right way up this time

still to tidy up some wiring (cut and splice) coz they aint long enough... and get some new throttle cables .. but apart from that its all go. well sort of i still have to get my front wheel painted black

also while i was out earlier i went past one of those "you speed is" thingys and i was doing 30mph ... it indicated 29mph so i'm pretty spot on for in town riding...

These conversions look brilliant.
Has anyone done it to a naked and kept normal bars rather than clip ons?

Yup. Mine's RWU though... though to simply use the SRAD750 forks and yokes would be exactly the same procedue for USD forks.

Dunno about the pointy but I found TL1000S bars to be perfect for the curvy with a USD frontend.
