I've always used and always will use sports touring tyres. For road riding I see no point in the latest sport tyre unless I did loads and loads of track days.
BT021's - great all weather tyre andd still stick like glue when pushed hard. Avon Storms - Good in the dry , outstanding in the wet. The only thin with this tyre is the reactive footprint technology. The tyre moves about depending on lean angle to give maximum amount of rubber on the ground, it can feel a bit off as it feels like it's moving (well it is). Takes some getting used to. |

I always liked Z6's on my SV. Wanting something more hardwearing on my GSXR I've just fitted a pair to that. I feel more confident on them than I ever did on the Corsa III's doubly so in the wet. I would have thought any of the current crop of Sport Touring tyres would be what you're after, just depends which have a preference for.

The Z6 and Strada are good, but they're diabolical in snow, no centre tread on the rear. But I don't suppose that'll bother most people. All these sport touring tyres are great tbh.

+ 100000 for the storms. Everyone in the massive seem to be slowly fitting them now. Trying to get Im Indoors to put em on his Raptor but he is not convinced they will suit.
I've ridden em in all weathers and in some freezin conditions, so has YC..super...shame they went upside down Tuesday, but they weren't to blame ![]()
