thanks for posting the link derbybiker.
hmm, not too sure what to make of it. just skipped through the tracks. im not so keen on the production, the snare drum sounds like it was recorded in someones garage. its definatly not the clean sound of master of puppets! im not really sure its anything new, i very much doubt ill buy it, tho my wife might! |

![]() ![]() ![]() Same here, quality. Had a listen to some of those new track there. It's ok if your new to Metallica, for all the teeny boppers but I would'nt be into it. It went downhill after the first three albums......... |

From a guitarist's point of view, I like the riff's. They sound, and are, fun to play. The verse part for The Day That Never Comes is one of those fiddly clean guitar parts that James Hetfield manages to come up with (like in fade to black, and the quiet part of To Live Is To Die) and its a beatch to play, but I like the challenge.

From what I have heard the production is much better again compared to St Anger but the songs just seem to be a bit lacking. Maybe all that angry thrash is better when you are young. The new Belphegor CD is cracking though! Going to see them and Nile in a week

I was pretty impressed by Cyanide live, the other one (Day That Never Comes?) was good in places but a bit of a shambles. My copy's still not arrived but I suspect I'll like it... There were loads of wee changes to the old songs at Reading that showed a bit more energy and inventiveness than they've had for years.
