hmm could be many things but are you sure its threading right? It shoudlnt be ****ing oil even if its not sealing well. Just a drip.

On a similar note does anyone know the oring size for the clutch cover?

it is just a drip really - but a drip to much! It doesn't seem to have lost any or much (maybe quarter of the space between the full and low markers on the window) oil tonight since checking it lastnight, but I haven't run it.
However I've noticed that when I removed one of the engine bolts to take off the belly pan the bolt was wet with oil and there was actually a damp greasy patches down the engine casing from there soperhaps it's running down to the bottom and dripping off the sump bolt? Is this normal??

Read the above, it will pin point exactly where the leak is coming from...

The clutch cover is a common leaking point on the Curvy's and it is the reason why the later ones and Pointy's had the one piece clutch cover.

One of my Svs does that. It leaks more 'obviously' when its run, but its only a drip. I lost about 200ml up to the Ecosse and the same again on the way down...700 miles in all. It doesn't lose any after its stood a while. We backed off the bolts and torqued em back up again, as sometimes its because they are overtightened, but in my case I think the seal behind is shagged. Theres two places mines leaking from..one is the bottom bolt on the plastic clutch case, the other is below..can't remember which one. Either way its common

Also the tip from Dave is a good one, with dgreaser. My other half also suggested to me to put some talc on it afterwards, before you go for a ride, sounds daft but, you would get a clear marker on the talc where the drip ran down. i haven't got round to it yet

Well just started it up with that bolt out and it was spluttering a fair bit of oil out of the hole. I've noticed that someone's put a washer on this engine bolt at some point - probably the mong I bought it off (wondered why I managed to haggle him £300 off) infact I've also noticed that a lower engine bolt (that holds the belly pan in is longer than all the rest so I bet said mong has put the bolt that's too long in that hole and wrecked whatever seal (arf arf!) is back there. Orr am I being the mong and have got the bolts mixed up and the longer one should in fact go in that hole???(fingers crossed)

Anyhow not a happy bunny

grr it's leaking at the heads now. Lost about 300ml yesterday/lastnight. I've been advised to torque up the head bolts and if tht doesn;t sort it a new gasket set.
