Well, I usually use 10% ethanol in my '00. Runs no differently as far as I can tell, And has 90,000 miles without any apparent problems.

A bit of confusion there, 10% Ethanol is fine, 85% is very different! As above comments, some bikes can be run is E85, after fuelling mods etc.

Off the top of my head, I think all petrol now sold in the UK contains 2.5-5% Ethanol component.
