loud pipes won't do anything unless you're bent over with your ear next to the outlet

it's the high pitched wind noise that'll destroy your hearing, at motorway speeds 15 minutes is enough to cause permanent irreversible damage, just because it's bearable doesn't mean it's not doing any harm...

but don't worry, no harley goes fast enough to cause hearing damage from wind noise

Lol true we were doing 60-70 most of the time because I was getting blown about. way back up around 85-90 (sv clocks said 100). Maybe you're right is it earplugs time for the Mway?

it won't only reduce / prevent the damage to your hearing, it'll be far more comfortable as well

tbh if you do motorway miles and don't wear plugs you're going to regret it in the end, and once your hearing deteriorates it doesn't come back

i got a S1 Drudi Sport recently and am really chuffed with it. I haven't been riding long and haven't tried out many other helmets so can't really compare with others.

As it was last year's model it was a bargain!! Got the pinlock visor for it too

My beemer helmet saved my life at the weekend. If I had of been sporting my old lid I'm 90% sure I would of snapped my neck and the illfitting anti brain damage lining ('esd'? foam) probably would have done nothing at 45mph.

Haven't posted there yet, but glad you came out of it.

Another reason to seriously consider a Schuberth then.

Not necessarily it was the fact it fitted so damn well that helped. Very tight fit (but comfortable) didn't shift at all in the crash, feel extremely lucky.
