Yak!
I'm not a fan! The zorst sounds nice, tried keeping it above 4/5,000 and it's quite nippy but takes a little bit of persuasion to turn once it gets going. Kind of like, when it starts to take off, it's difficult to move, although I guess that's the same for most bikes, once you're hitting the acceleration, it only wants to go forward. A lot more sit up and beg than the SV which is good in some respects, but without a screen, it's a pig to hold on to at a) high speed and b) hard acceleration. Seems to handle better round fast (m-way) bends than the SV and doesn't have the same enginge braking (obviously) which I should have factored in a bit more! Overall, don't like the fact that it has no screen, sitting position is a bit too forward for my liking, but sounds nice and probably just takes a bit of getting used to. Sticks to the road and inspires more confidence to the SV but am asssuming that's 'cos it's got more rubber and is heavier. Actually looking forward to taking it back tomorrow to have another go as I'll be a bit more used to it....still want my lovely SV back though! |

So basically what you need is the half faired version like mine

Yep, think so!
Just ridden it in again today, I admit I ragged it A LOT more than I did yesterday. The power delivery is ace and it's definitely a lot more planted on the road and steers more sharply than the SV. I was caning it coming out of bends where the SV might struggle for grip, but this thing was stuck to the road like the proverbial to a blanket. When de-briefing with my mate, he was surprised how responsive the SV was, didn't like the engine braking, especially in traffic (takes getting used to) and really liked the sound of it. We summarised that the SV riding postion with the power delivery of the 750 would be ideal, so you're half-faired version is nearly there I reckon. I still think the SV is more comfortable to ride, my crown jewels are more comfortable on the SV! |

![]() Ive had mine over 2 years now and 13,000 miles and it still does everything I want tour/trackday/hoon so I am not sure what to replace it with - I am thinking Tuono/Superduke as I fancy another twin - but its been (and is) a great bike for the money ![]()

When I first got on the Zed I felt I was sitting on the tank - was so much closer to the bars and seemed really high up.
The power delivery isnt as instantaneous as the SV, but if you get it to the 6.5k mark and keep it there or above its a great ride.
