Just what I wanted to hear, did you manage to lay your hand on any blanking plates for the spaces left by the old indicators? The only ones I can find a reference to are in the ROCA conversion kit, but I can't even find that for sale anywhere.

My SV was due for a re-spray so I just fibreglassed over the old holes so the side panels are completely smooth now

Brilliant, that's just what I wanted to hear.

wtf? er not sure what happened then, double post nonsense.

So you fibre glassed them...very professional. Not sure I'd trust myself to do that, nor can I afford a respray.

Time for more googling methinks.

Alright, time to bump this again. I've been taking a look at all of your suggestions and it seems that they are all too short to go on a pointy. I don't want anything shorter than stock as they(or should I say it after the close encounter of a fence kind) are only just useful as it is.

I think gsx-r mirrors will fit, and I can get offical suzuki parts for only a tenner more than these after market bits. However, they appear to bolt from the inside of the fairing rather than the outside. So I'd have to remove the black 'dash' panel, and then count on the interior fitting not fouling the 'dash' panel when refitted.

This would also be a pain for removing on track days, but I guess gixxer owners have that problem anyway, it'll just give me more incentive not to drop it.

Anyone any experience of this? (the mirrors not dropping their bike Feasible and fiddly? Or just plain not doable?

Get some mirrors that actually work, Ive been using these bad boys for a while now and will never go back although they take some getting used to cosmeticly.

Yeah, may look good on an unfaired bike, but not so good on a faired pointy SV methinks.

Ta for the suggestion tho'.

Too short to go on a pointy? How long are the mirrors on a pointy?????
Those ones on ebay are 27cm from base to tip

Why remove them for a trackday? Just pull them in and they'll be fine

About 30cms, I think that last 3cms of mirror might make all the difference in useability, otherwise I'd have 'em. The gixxers are about 32cms according to the ebay item I'm looking at.

I'm guessing the curvy fairing it's just slightly large than the pointy, hence why they worked on your curvy...or I have bigger elbows than you...but I'm not one to boast
