My advice would either be to have a look on the for sale section here or get on ebay. You'll save your self a load of cash. You could always post in the "wanted" section, somone might have the bits you want lying around in tha garage - you never know.

see what you can do yourself, will save you a fair bit!!
I think it's 'Berkshire Motorcycle Parts And Accessories' - small little shop, but they can get hold of pretty much any part you need, usually only have to wait a day or two for them to get it in after it's ordered too.

I've been back fo a couple of weeks and after spending some time with the family finally got round to getting the bike sorted. Thanks for all the help, everyone! Heres how - If anyones interested. I know that hopefully it will help someone else!

Headlight - The glass was cracked and also the black plastic backing to the light was cracked. The mount for the light - attached to the forks - was bent. The fix - Removed the light and fetled the mount straight (with a big hammer). I brought a replacement light from 'Berkshire Motorcycle Parts And Accessories' on Oxford road in reading. It was just a standard 7 inch light and went on without too much bodging! It also had a crome back rather than the plastic suzuki light - bonus! The best thing about this was the cost saving - Suzuki wanted £155 for a replacement light. Got mine for £50. Proberbly could have got it cheaper on ebay but wanted it in my hands!

Handlebars - Bent the old ones. Got a renthal replacement on ebay - its a longer bar so a very nice riding position. Only problem here was getting the left grip on/off and the bike gases on full lock due to wider bar! Got this in red so it matches the bike - Nice!

Tail skirt - big hole/crack here. Replacent for RHS (it comes in 2 parts) was £80 odd quid from redcarmotorcycles online. Olso ordered soem R & G crash bobbins and a scorpion street extreme stubby with them at a moment of weekness. They shoud be arriving today.

Conclusion - The actual repairs/mechanical work were the easy part. Dont you just wish that the first thing google spits out is the answer to all your prayers! There are load of websites out there claiming to be the suzuki part dealer but none were much kop. I am sure that a good business would be an online parts dealer who supplied genuine parts and cheaper alternatives on the same site with an easy interface that had every bike out there (or just SVs!)

I will hopefully ride a bit more careful next time as it still hurt my wallet. (especially the exuast (I did dent the old one slightly and that means it needed replacing- thats what i told the missus!)

Glad you got it all sorted mate. Just a word of warning though. The fact your throttle revs when you turn the handlebars is an MOT failure. Have you tried the throttle cable adjusters to give the cable more slack? If that doesn't work you could always try and adjust them at the other end. Failing that your going to need to replace the cables with longer ones or chop some length off the end of the bars.
