They should try and give something off or offer something because the likelihood is that to pay for a downturn in sales (which i'm assuming they've had) they've probably cut costs (jobs) and factored in a pricing uplift into new products, the latter probably being the biggest factor to raising a margin. I can't say without looking at their financials, which are probably hidden away with their American parent. I had no idea about price margins on bike gear and was asking a simple question. Also I've not seen or heard of any HG store closures?

it's a lot of money for a textile jacket it needs to be good to justify that price tag though gore tex is an ace material my boots are goretex lined and theyre feckin ace warm but not sweaty and it's supposedly waterproof though no waters got through the leather so i cant tell you on that

bought both of them 5 years ago, same name although the looks have been updated

cannot fault them, both warm and have never leaked, comfy too

I have that jacket and the cuffs have frayed and fallen apart. I've had to have them restitched.
