Yes I don't seee what need to sell fireworks here, they have been going off for what seems like weeks here now. They are only meant to be 4 days a year when then are meant to be set off, FFS. Though i haven't had any thrown at me this year so far.

Not yet it ain't (well in scotland)

Fireworks can be used in public on any day of the year betwen 7pm and 11pm with extra dispenation for 5/11, 31/12 chinese new year and diwali.
can be sold from 15 oct-10 november and 26-31 december and the three immediately preceeding days at chinese new year and diwali

though you'll find there is growing support for these four days to be the only days to set off fireworks - but its not through yet unfortunately.

I hate them though i love to see the chavs being injured by them - just doesn't do our stats any good.

I used to have a right laugh with fireworks years ago, don't see why it should be spoilt just because of some wonkers using them as weapons. As usual legislation would only effect people not inclined to break the law in the first place.

Indeed. I have a great laugh with fireworks each year, I'd hate for them to be banned outright outside of public displays as some people would like. The idiots who buy blackmarket fireworks and chuck them at people would continue to do so, you'd only be punishing the law-abiding majority. The real solution is more coppers on the beat around halloween and fireworks night and much harsher penalties for throwing fireworks around the street and prosecuting in cases even when no one is hurt.

I would suggest getting out of the car and putting some firework down there pants to blow away there dogs danglies/rabbit holes. Gives you a good feeling and stops them breeding...2 birds 1 stone me thinks

Lily, I sympathise.

Years ago, someone decided it'd be funny to launch a rocket at me, whilst I was sat about 25ft up in a tree with a friend (hey, I was a kit then).

My friend took the only sensible route down, inside the tree (narrow gap). That left me with the only other route, jump or be hit.

So I jumped, and landed wrongly on wet grass. The long & the short of it was a broken right wrist, a shattered right heel, and spinal shock due to impact on the coxix.

I still walked home though, and I did get payback later.

Have stepped over one ricocheting of Portland tube in the middle of the day (kids eh ). Have also pinned the throttle after some tit lit a monster on the central reservation of the A4.

"What's that tit doing kneeling in the middle of the road?"
"Oh he'sjust lit an enormous firework"

1/4 mile time was a PB
