Here in the US the Gladius will be replacing the SV Naked since there is no 2009 SV Naked.

We do have a continuation on the dress style, so there is a 2009 SV650SF.

The original prices for the Naked were as follow MSRP:

2007 $5949 or $4620 used KBB, I found a left over bike for $5000 OTD
2008 $5999 Naked
2009 $6499 Gladius
That used price for 2007 sounds pretty close to the $5000 the bike is up for new (albeit 2007 model)...I'm not sure if I'm fully understanding that, I don't know what KBB is for example.

I'm not sure how bikes depreciate in the US compared to here, unfortunately.

Am sorry, KBB stand for Kelly Blue book ( www.kbb.com ).

Is a book that keeps track of value of used vehicles every month.

For this month a used 2007 SV650 Naked on the US, assuming excellent conditions and low miles, has a value of $4620.

Now, the 2008 NEW MSRP sold for $6000, since this is a 2007 New, I am negotiating one grant off the MSRP value.

Like you guys said, since I am already pre-approve by my local bank, all I got to do now is find a bike that I like for the amount I was approved $6000 USD. I will offer them $4800 OTD and see what they say and we will go from there. For sure I will not pay anymore then $5200 for that bike.

A different dealer is selling me a new 2008 GSX 650 F for $6300 OTD, that is $700 USD below MSRP ($7000) and OTD total cost, but I must admit I do like the SV650 better and if I can get a similar deal interms of the savings I will preffer the SV650, but if that fails I will go with the 650F.

Hi, I don't know if it's a good deal or not but you could do worse than to ask on SVrider.com, it's a great US-based SV forum. Not as great as us, obviously But still well worth a visit, and maybe they can help you track a bike down.

Where is the US are you SVTEAL? I'm in Ontario, Canada, just bought a 2006 S for under 5K CDN. If you're close enough to the border you might want to check here. Lots of SV's in the market at very decent prices.

$5000 here in the Us is a great price! I paid $7000 out the door for my SV650S7K that's with the 5 year extended warranty. The dealer would not lower the price because at the time the gas prices were high. But at $5000 it's a steal. It's a fun bike.
