Yup I'll be looking into any of the oc engines I can get my hands on.

I have read that the screw adjusted valve ones are easier to get cams and such for rather than the tappet liftered ones. Any truth in this?

I know 1100 will fit but frame might be a little flexible. Ah well only one way to find out.

From what I understand from his blathering on, its a big engine in a small frame.

According to December's Performance Bike you can get up to 470bhp out of the 1100 - that should keep even YC quiet until the snows melt!

GSXR750 rolling chassis with GSXR1100 motor fitted. It used to be done because there's little difference in the weights of the engines, so it made good sense to slot an 1100 motor in a 750 chassis as the 750 was lighter and handled far better than the bloaty 1100.

Told the guy I'll have it anyway. We shall see what horror show awaits when I get it home lol.

Getting it home will be a mission in itself....

Have you ever tuned one? Any idea how much power they can take without replacing rods and stuff?

I haven't tuned any myself, so not sure of what the limits are. The 1200 engine is as strong as the 1100 and I do know of 1200s with stock bottom ends that are pushing the 150bhp mark with tuning, how much further is the sort of thing you should be asking Holeshot Racing or BigCC
