Pods... you have to fart about with the air jets. A pointy could be easier to do than a curvy on that score. No idea as to power gains, probably minimal with stock engine. Zadar is the man to ask.

pods need huge main jets,from stock 137.5(in USA)to 210-220.
if tunned good gain is 1-2hp. |

ah right ok. so does using those type of filters remove the need for an airbox?
like... ![]() or would that just run really badly, even if it had been set up properly? Or at least tried to set it up properly. |

Oooh that's nice..
Some carbs are easier to set up for it than others, the SV is one of the harder ones to do it for AFAIK, oil boilers like that, not too bad AFAIK. Not done that to mine, so not sure of the ins and outs.

Also as the oil over flow blows out into the airbox, would you need to fit some sort of catch for that?

Yes you need to use a catch can or a breather filter. Lots of OSS fellas just route the breather up under the tailpod and stick a little filter on the end of it. On SV you can use the normal catch tank

AFAIK ... as far as I know
OSS ... oldskoolsuzuki ... 7-11 and general streetfighter site... lots of people into the sort of bike like that slingshot you posted earlier. Not overflow... it's a breather pipe ... you get oil mist coming out of the engine breathers ... the catch tank under the airbox catches this vapour and lets it go back into motor, the gas and some of the vapour gets sucked into carbs and burnt off.
