xbox 360 question....gamers lend me your ears....

If you are not bothered by the tiny marginally better graphics on the PS3 and prefer a better online community then I would go for Xbox 360 and Xbox Live , then again I would say that , I`m a Microsoft Xbox Live Ambassador

if most of your mates have PS3 then go that way. I have both but I got the PS3 as I like to play Call of Duty, Resistence 2 and GT(when it comes out) with my mate online. I like the XBOX but playing against strangers isn't quite the same

I have a xbox 360 and sent mine back once already and my replacement looks like its on the blink too. The XBOX steering wheel is fantastic for force feed back if thats what you are into. I bought a WII recently because the games I played on the xbox arent very child friendly. Pookie -jnr can just about hold a wiimote

Still cant get over the fact you have to pay for xbox live ...grrrrr

Well I have made lots of friends on Live , some have even stayed at my gaff , and a lot of Orgers have 360`s .......... I have had some bloody funny nights on Live I can tell ya

however on your issue reguaring price

the ps3 is worth the extra for the blu ray and bear in mind everything is all in witht he ps3 whilst it isnt with the xbox,

when i got mine,

ps3 was 320 quid

xbox was 220, - by the time you had brought, the battery for the controller, the charge leed ( £20 for both) wireless adaptor £60, iive for 1 year £50)

the xbox worked out more and didnt have bluray, think its down to personal preference, i coudlnt decide so my mate got the xbox and i got the ps3, and w elive together so works well

I've had both, find the PS3 a far superior machine, but thats not really due to its gaming ability, (I use it to store my music as it integrates with my walkman and my PSP so nicely, I use it as a TV recorder (with the TV addon), Watch divx (from memory stick plugged into front) and blue ray movies, suft the net occasionally. Head to head I cant see any difference in their gaming capability, and the online experience is much better on xbox. However, you do have to pay a fee for that.

cool thanks for all the replies people, id use it purely for gaming nothing else so all sounds good, happy to go woth the xbox, go and have a gander in comet at the weekend just to make sure.

tesco are selling the 60gig xbox with a top title game, FIFA 09..... for 170 which seemed to be the same price as most shops but they were selling crappier games with it. just a shame seeing the folks bought me it I'm not allowed it till Xmas day!

Don`t forget you can also stream video and MP3 from your PC to the 360 as well over Ethernet or Wireless . So if you like to download movies and watch them on a big screen then it`s quite handy for that .
