Excellent film, Hopkins does a great job on it.

The book too is worth a read, it explains basically he didn't do the run in the film on his first go but on one of his subsequent returns when he set the record.

Well worth a watch and a read.

I watched this the day before it was on the haunted picture frame over the festive period. I didnt know anything about the film before i watched it and i must say that i, as well as verna, thought it was a brilliant film. I must admit that i did think he was going to die all the way through the film!

I know that what the film is called, from your comment Im assuming the DVD is same title? I am being thick for not knowing that? Probably - Im pretty thick and dim most of the time

You're right to ask. DVD's aren't always the same title as the films that are on them. Like when they released Cinderella on DVD it was called Mad Max

Very funny haha! but Im talking about the documentary DVD about Bert Munro - Isn't that what this thread was about - the footage in you tube or have I completely lost the plot? Does it have the same title as the Dramatised film? second thoughts I might just as well go and google it
