I dont know what they are like to ride, I've seen some very accomplished riders rung rings round others, Jelsters mate on the North / South the other year springs to mind.
You want my honest opinion, I reckon you want to give it a year or two yet. Build up your skills and ride your SV legally derestricted for a while. Whilst your doing this you can build up your no claims bonus which you're going to need when it comes to insurance time. Just get the miles in on your SV they'll pay you back over and over again when you get on a bike with more power.

doubt he means getting one straight away busa's restricted would probably be slower than the sv restricted that would be embaressing.

Just be aware any bike like a busa even after a period on a de-restricted SV, is going to feel fast. Even a 955 is going to demand a period of re-adjustment. It not just the extra BHP, its the brakes and chassis that go with it.
I reckon it took me 3 - 6 months to adjust to my GSXR when I got it and that was after 2 years everyday, all weather SV riding. I'm not saying you wont be capable of riding it, its just that it might take you a while to really gel with it and get the most out of it thats all....
