Starting from Macclesfield at the moment purely as a southern place that most people could head to without it being too far out of the way - except maybe those on the far North East )
Possibly to include a meeting point around Hinckley for some peeps from the MIGTS area to join us on the way.

Any thoughts?

looks pretty good but if you add hinckly its a seriously different route (but im a sunday morning) and the distance from start to hinckly seems bang on for a fuel stop as well

Coming from the A444 to A5 along that stretch should be ideal travelling from Preston, plenty of BP garages down there

Ideally just before the M69 round-a-bout there is a Esso Garage & Harvester with a fair sized car park.

I'm going but not got a route or anything planned yet.
