I once rode about 30 mins in an unexpected (so not gritted) blizzard. That wasn't pleasant. Things we do for girls, aye?

depends on the roads I guess but if there's frost, snow or any ice at all I'd leave the bike tucked away. I have been out in the snow without any problems but not by choice, yuck

Just incase you are wondering why I put this up I picked up a middle aged rider from my front drive this morning who had to brake for a car coming the other way and was lucky enough to slide on to my drive and not into the path of the car
Was he ok?

Yeh,only a scrapped hand through his gloves where he tried to break his tumble
Bent clutch and broken indicator,he must have been nearly stopped when he slid
Got back on his 125[I think] and wobbled off down the road

I NEVER TOUCHED HIS COSMOS

It took me 25 minutes to push / ski down the country lane to a gritted surface with the last ice here, did about 2/3rds of it on the grass at the side of the road, frozen solid and reckoned the uneven surface might provide more traction than the icy road.
Wouldn't have done it but it was the day of the icecream run.

I ride to work almost every day, (a) because it's a lot easier & quicker, (b) because i'm a tight **** & begrudge paying the hospital a staff car parking charge.
I rode in yesterday & today & apart from going sideways the full length of the road outside my house i knew all the other roads would be salted & Ok to ride, if none of the roads had been salted i would have used the car & made Amanda walk or cycle to the gym.
If i drop the bike then so be it, that's why i bought a cheapie second bike anyway, well that & because i was putting 1000 miles a month on the FZ1.

I usually ride in pretty much any weather but not been riding this week, If I could get to the main road I would, but I live on a hill and its been iced up since monday and not yet cleared. So its been a nice 1 1/2 walk to the bus stop for me
