The term is "Bricked" not "Brickwalled".

It refers to the fact that if it happens, the device has all the electronic functionalilty of a brick.

Well a few have tried it - Sid Squid quite liked it.

Dont see how thats relevant to discussing a mostly irrelevant piece of Apple tat however....

3G Stealth Sim: http://www.stealthsim.com/

As 600+ says you can do it by yourself but a Jailbroken iPhone cannot be returned to an Unjailbroken State.

600+ there are many recorded instances where jailbroken iPhones were Bricked (cheers Soulkiss ) when the owner attempted to update their phone.

This is completely wrong!! You just plug it to iTunes and Recover!! You'll have it back to the same state as it came out of the box.

Share the info then mate! I've been looking at forums for the past 4 months and the only issues I have come across being reported are to do with incompatibilty on Macs!
I suggest you read one of the active forums on avforums.com and see if you can find such issues.

Personally I have had no problems at all - touch wood!!

I haven't done it as mine works fine just the way it is. What are the advantages of jailbreaking? Not something I've looked into,

Cheers,
Matt
