In a previous life in a time long ago I dropped parachutists, they were bricking themselves prior to going and on a massive high after landing, they went out as two tandam pairs with a fith jumper with a video camera on his head.
I wouldn't jump out of a servicable aircraft unless the wheels were on the floor

I say do it, it is an amazing adventure!
There is a place on the Plain, Army Parachute Association at Netheravon, which will service any jumpers needs. You will feel a little nervous at first as it is human nature too, I have never met anyone who wasn't, but that fear will go away as soon as you leave the aircraft. Besides, you are harnessed to a professional so all you need to do is enjoy the ride. |

as tara said, I did a tandem jump for charity in summer 07. Im scared of flying and heights. hoped to cure myself - didnt work. I got the event videod as I knew I was never going to do it again. Got some great pics and very funny dvd.
did the jump near oxford and the people were great. Im glad I did it, but will never do it again. Lost about 2 stone that morning I was so nervous. |

Nope never, not me...
  Over Oz (Sydney) at 13500 ft, I'm scared of heights, that far up its not the same... though saying that I try to fight my fears head on as I climbed Sydney harbor bridge, was abseiling and canyoning while out there. Last edited by Grinch; 13-01-09 at 10:54 PM. |

great pics lads,
fantastic. and good to hear the majority recommending it! im pretty sure we ar going to do it, thinking at Chatteris Airfield in cambridgeshire £165 (on a wednesday) one of those things i feel i have to do before i leave this world....hopefully wont be the last thing i do!! |

Nobbylass got me one for our wedding anniversary the other year, I think the present should have been silk, I was expecting a tie, however she came up trumps with the tandem sky dive
 After I'd done it, I wanted to sign up for a course of solo jumps (but never got round to it, plus it wasn't cheap!) |
