I actually find its not hard at all to spin the rear wheel by hand. Involves pushing the bike a little against its side-stand. My driveway is all loose stones too so that makes it easier.
If you can do this, you don't need any special gadgets at all.

I have a tommy jack...just a little set of legs to left the back wheel when it's the sidestand.
![]() I find I tend to set it up and just lean the bike and slot it in place rather than use it to lift the bike. |

Wouldn't bother with one of those wheel spin products, get yourself a paddock stand as it will be much more use in the future for a variety of jobs.

I have one, but the thing I found was it rusts up in a flash (making it useless as it won't spin) so make sure you clean and dry it after use. Also it isn't the most stable thing in the world so be really careful when scrubbing hard on the inside of the tyre whilst its on it. Personally I replaced it with a rear stand a few months after, but as I can see that isn't an option, the spinney wheel ball bearing thing is good enough!

Corf
I have one of these. It's brand new - got it for Christmas, but I have a Scotoiler, so I don't use it. £25 delivered - It's very heavy, so postage will be high. Let me know if you're interested. Chin |
