In the MCN preview they said it was lighter but a dealer site specs it at 202Kg.

I do not like the pastel blue, foot rest bit or the exhaust. Glad i got my 2007 SV.

I think it looks neat, colourwise I'd like to see the black plastics on the red one.

They also say it's got 75.9bhp
How likely is that? I gather the latest pointys had less power than early ones

I doubt it, but maybe they have done something with the motor.

Someone buy one and give me motor to tear apart and find out would you?

So what's this, the 5th design of bottom end? Wonder which bit will break first on these?

Not a lot on MCN's site about it yet, but here is what they have said,

Launch report: Suzuki Gladius

By Adam Child
Bike tests
26 January 2009 09:25
The new-for-2009 Suzuki Gladius replaces the much loved Suzuki SV650 in 2009 and its fresh new looks aren’t everyone’s cup of tea. But is it any good?
The Suzuki Gladius is entirely new from the ground up. The most significant change is the new styling, very different from the old bland Suzuki SV650.
It’s even better in the flesh - funky, stylish and doesn’t feel budget despite the low asking price of £4500. But it’s not just a styling makeover, there’s a new trellis Ducati-style chassis, and upgraded suspension and brakes.
The engine is very similar to the old bike but with increased power and low to midrange torque.
I’m initially impressed, the Gladius feels much smoother, more refined and the engine feels different from the old model, with more torque.
Handling is also excellent for this type of bike I’m having real fun on the switch back roads here in Fuerteventura.
