its not the link pipe i need to know bout its the link ipe on the scorpion

Both methods run an extreme risk of snapping the stud. Cut alongside the thread with a hacksaw or similar to split the nut and then remove it, then clean up the thread, even if only with a wire brush.
Sorry to be thick here, but what did you mean by cutting alongside the thread - did you mean actually cutting into the nut, or cutting under it to take away the nut plus the part of the bolt it's attached?

im pretty sure he means just cutting through the side of the nut. this releases the tension in the nut. then it should come off fairly easy. hopefully

No, the link pipe will also not fit the M4 headers as the M4 is a larger diameter.
