I'm guessing you mean me? In that case, you are mistaken officer.

You can set the rider sag on the curvy by adjusting preload and it makes a difference. There are loads of threads about it, try a search. PM me if you don't find what you looking for.

The (standard) 99 curvy will only have rear preload adjustment.

The front can also be done by altering the spacers or by retro-fitting adjusters.

Thought that pre k2 owners had to live with the "default" settings, oops.

-> theshed,
do a search on suspension upgrade (hagon springs for the front and zx shock for the rear).

All you can do then is adjust the preload on the rear shock. There is 7 (IIRC) positions it could be in, adjust it with a C spanner (if it's the same as a pointy) I think ideally you want 25mm of sag (the difference measured above the rear axel between the bike on an Abba stand & the bike upright but on it's wheels without rider..
Chances are with a 10 year old shock it will be worn out so don't worry about it just ride it.

Best £30 and 45mins , I spent was taking my big bike to a sussy-guru after mucho fannying about with the aftermarket stuff.

Lucky, I hope when you get your kit back you have less hassle setting up than I did for my Maxtons. They had fantastic damping if you never went over 40mph! Set up specifically for you my airse! Boing boing! Still convinced they stuck any old spring on there despite what I asked for. Took feckin ages and I was stressing cos I had a ferry to catch.

Hope you have a different experience fella.
