RAF Interview!

what are you applying for??? i had my Officer Aircrew selection at the start of this week which i successfully failed. and other Nick are you the unlucky person having to go through every computer to get rid of that virus????

im going in for aircraft engineer - mechanical, my brother was in a year ago and came out to travel australia and is now trying to join back up.

ill see how it goes anyway i have always liked the military life style.
im not going to tell my boss soon ill try stick it out as long as i can but putting up with his shiz contantly i dont now how much i could stand.

ok mate, first one how is it? how did you find it at first and all that for the trade? i have been told what basic is like because my brother was in but only know a little about this trade.

Well it has all changed since i joined up, back then we did 13months trade training then same out as SAC's once we'd done our BTEC we were SAC Techs, now you guys do so long on unit as either a heavy or a light (mechanical or electrical basically) then back to cosford for ages, then you come out as SAC Techs. If you go helicopters then it can be quite ****, going out to afghanistan all the time etc but apart from that it's alright. The works alright and it's good pay for what you do

cheers for that, yeah im thinking of going for fixed wing aircraft. Ill see what happenes in the interview.

im not too botherd where i get posted to be honest i just want to get in my pay will be 10k more than im on now in the first year, and i work full time now.

I take it your an apprentice then lol. I swear every apprentice that doesn't like their job does this, everyone swears to join the RAF. I was going to go in for it but got offered a diffo job before my first interview.

By the way there is smallprint under that 16k figure, 'when fully trained'

yeh i am and my boss is a c***, i ove the job but cant stand his crap, i have also always wanted to go into the raf anyway but was offered this job straight from collage so i took it thinking it would be a good opertunity. Yeah i know i wont get the 16 k straight away but will def be better than what im on now.
