Theyre my current boots. If you're just starting, go down to HG and get a pair of waterproof touring boots. Waterproof, not very stylish, but keep you warm + dry. Not dear either, my old ones were only 60-70 quid. |

dont mind paying a bit just not 200 as no-one seems to have an opinion on the oxtar will try a pair of sidi black rain evo. Can get them for about 120 so another option.
Like said does anyone rate oxtar or would the sidi (if they fit) be a better choice. |

I had a pair of black rain sidi`s before my current vertigos, very nice comfy boot, although i needed a size larger than normal as they taper in towards the toes. Never let in any rain and lasted for ages, only thing i had to replace was the zipper pulls with the old key rings. Definitely recommend

Vannus, just for the record, recently passed test also & had to get all the gear too, went on ebay, Sidi Rain got a pair that didn't look like they had been worn, £43. really comfortable, have not been swimming in em yet, so can't comment on waterproof, but I would think that you could pick-up all the gear you want for a fraction of the new price.
Alternativly, Lidl have a load of motorbike stuff in there offers section starting Monday 16th March, I know it anit the best for style, but will work for you & at those prices can always be replaced gradually as money allows in a year or so. |

Already been on the bay got pair of ft leather trousers for 40 quid and a brand new arlen ness leather jacket for 100 only problem is jacket and trousers have different zips. Just bought gloves of gazza77 so just leaves boots and lid. Looking at smx 4 from hein at 90 quid and the waterproof booties from lidl but will keep looking at ebay just need to be lucky.

I have the SMX-5's posted earlier and haven't had a problem with them either....
Take a look at Gaerne. My previous boots were excellent, use them in winter now to keep the AS looking good. Got them from J&S for about £80... can't remember the model though. |
