Shop around for your insurance next time. My insurer isn't bothered that i have an ART can and lots of extras on my bike.

Another for carole nash, just changed my policy to them from Bennetts, much more for my money, and never hiked mine when told about exhaust change from standard.

Try Footman James, they quoted me cheaper than Carole Nash and didn't want extra for the 'zorst as it was just a replacement can.

Thereby committing fraud, and leaving yourself open to a few weeks with Big Dave the queen of the cells.

Alternatively, you could just pick up the phone and ring round a few insurers to get a better deal with a decent bunch.

I am ringing around, this isnt a renewal its a new policy, but the best quotes from everyone are under written by AXA and they have this 30% rule apparently. It is still about half the price of my next best quote so I am going to go with it (all declared up), its just infuriating that they can whack an extra 30% on.

Try adelaide - when I called them at renewal they were running some price matching scheme. Got a complete bargain that day.
