I bought a tinted pinlock for my trip.

Worked a treat in glaring sunshine.

Excuse ignorance here, but what is pinlock? Is that something that my standard clear visor that came on my Condor would have or be compatible with?

if you're wanting a replacement visor then they're never cheap from new i've found. usually minimum of £40ish for a dark one.

Yeah the visors themselves look to be around that mark. Just trying to work out this pin lock thing. I do have 2 random notches at each side of my current visor, are they for sliding inserts in? Apologies for newbie ignorance!

Cheers for your help

Yes - they are there most likely for a pinlock insert which is like a second visor that has holes on either side that clip onto plastic pins that go through the visor. Fog City are similar, however the Fog City insert I had on my HJC had a self adhesive gasket around the edges of the insert which stuck to the inside of the visor (for around 3 days). I have a pinlock on my Shoei lid and that has a flexible silicon rubber seal around the edge to seal the insert against the visor, thus forming a double-glazed effect therefore preventing misting (although I don't feel it's as good as the Fog City I had).

I'm looking at getting a new visor (partly vanity, partly to stop me squinting when the suns out).

It's gotta look good, be road legal, block the sun and be cheap!

Any advice on what to get and where order it from?!

Cheers

Alex
Don't bother getting a legal tint visor. They don't block out much light. Just get a dark tint one and carry a clear one with you around your waist

I second the dark tint visor. Fit it with a clear pinlock and it works great. Have this fitted on my chaser and could no longer go back to a clear visor unless im riding at night.
