Ok all for tomorrow with that lot then , I`ll grab a new set of sparkummy plugs on the way home and I`ll lift her skirt up and have a gander underneath . Just started her up again and she was fine , went inside and I heard her drop to 1k , so left her warm up to about 80c and gave the Idle a tweakeroo with blips of the throttle , held her steady at 3k for a second or 2 and then relaxed the throttle and adjusted til it was just a tad over 3k . She is idling outside now , so I am gonna give her periodical blips .

Mike , I only cleaned the dirty bits with a brush mate , I don`t douse her in buckets of water and stuff .

So for the sake of elimination I am getting Idle correct and new plugs tomorrow , Injector cleaner day after and some sort of Balance and TPS investigation later on in the week

And Darren , got that thread saved for just this occasion , cheers feller .

Oh man , just went outside , touched the throttle and the revs dropped , bike was at 94c on the temp gauge , seems fine when not to temperature , tried to hold the revs a little bit more and it was like a reverse throttle , dropped away and she died on me and cut out .

was thinking the brush may have nudged a connection somewhere. Especially as it sounds a bit intermittant. See how you go 2 moz then.

As a side note , when adjusting the Idle screw I noticed I could hear a high pitched whine that roase and fell with the adjustment of the screw , I`m assuming this is the fuel pump doing it`s job with demand to the setting of the Idle speed .

You know how to do the TB balance? Got the gauge for it?

I'll be passing yours tomorrow around 5:30 (then again around 10pm) as I'm off to Rhyl. Happy to drop my gauge off if you need it, and can give you a quick walk through of how to do it too.

With the tank up, balancing the throttle bodies is so quick/easy, I'd be able to do it for you as I'm passing!

The TPS is a little more fiddly, and you'll need a T25 (I think) security torx bit. Patience is the key to this one, oh, and the bolt's are made of cheese - the mouldy version!

Right you are on for tomorrow matey , I will make sure I am home for 5:30 ..... I don`t have a Carbtune but was gonna buy one , if you are passing and don`t mind then that`s great mate . I have a set of Torx allen keys and a can of Plusgas as well for those puppies . I`ll finish work at 4:30 , hit Woods motorcycles for a new set of those electrical plug things that make all the whizz bangery stuff happen and then pagger it home so should be here about 5:15 ish I will have the tank up and ready for inspection Sah <--- Salutes

Make sure they're security torx bits. It's either a T25 or T27 you'll need - I forget which.

The security bits have a hole in the centre to accommodate the pin in the middle of the bolt.

PM/text me your house # & postcode, and I'll drop by about 5:30 to at least point you in the right direction. If we don't get the time to look at it properly, feel free to hold the Carbtune until the next rideout etc (Barmouth?).
