Mine's £145 for the SV, 28 years old, fully comp and that's with 2 claims & 6 points, and 1 years no claims.
The Pan was £140, unlimited mileage & with Class 1 Business Use thrown in too. |

Mine is $900 kiwi bucks FC for 2 bikes and 0 years no claims! (new country to me)
![]() Beats the 800 quid (3yrs no claims) I was paying for 2 similar bikes in London + separate garage rental (otherwise they wouldn't insure me) of 700 pounds. 1500 pounds a year! and that was with 2 chains, ground anchor, alarmed disc lock, datatag and a garage alarm. Do I miss London?...........Nah! |

I was going to get a CBR600rr but they wanted £3102 for that. Bear in mind I had an RS125 FP 06 insured TFT for £384 and a Z750 for £545. Considering I passed my CBT in September 08 and my full test in December 08..both I think are fairly reasonable prices. I ran some quotes for an SV.. same price as my old Z near enough. However, for laughs I added a "33bhp restrictor kit from over 40bhp" and it's gone UP to £1802... Like seriously?! ![]() |

-- Don't live in a city!
-- Park it in a garage -- Use Confused.com & MoneySupermarket & all the others that you can be bothered with -- Phone round the best ones and whinge your ass off at them at the price (this bit is probably the most enjoyable part of the process!), moan gripe bitch and whinge some more, they'll ALWAYS be able to drop the price/throw something in for you. -- Join the IAM -- Phone their insurance partner (IAM Surety, part of Adelaide) and they'll beat your best quote and thrown in unlimited mileage and Business Use. Bask in a warm self induced feeling of smugness in the knowledge that you're paying considerably less for insurance than considerably many out there! |
