That's the way I saw it too. Found the limit point stuff useful, and his descriptions good.

Yeah there was not an awful lot that I would say was useful that I didn't already know. Most of the stuff presented was common sense knowledge, anyone with half a brain should know.
Although I think its a good idea on larger rideouts to take a medi kit with us. Be usefull if 1 or 2 people in the group had the proper first aid training too just in case of emergencys. Thought the caterpillar move was quite useful and also suited to groups of riders with various skill levels. Lets the speed demons get on with there stuff and the more sceanic riders don't have to worry about missing a turn-off or playing catch up. I may take IAM course eventually but TBH honest just get out there and ride, but most importantly ride for yourself and never ride past your ability. Bike Safe peeps Colin ![]()

Bike Safe peeps Colin ![]() Glad to hear you're ok, Shona came for a cuppa when she got home. IAM/ROSPA do a fab job, but riding within our limitations and capabilities is great advice. ![]() |

I went to last years and the year before, i agree its sort of power ranger aimed, but when you get the observed ride, it all falls into place.
Advanced riding really helps, Bike safe observed ride: Check IAM training: Check (just not test yet) correct ride within your limits, but once you know the technique behind corners, your limits will be alot greater. I'm happy to go out for a spin at some point and you can see how the cornering technique works. Adam |
