AFAIK a Fender Extender will do on it's own. The silicone should just be an extra thing to do, IMO.
AFAIK i don't have silicon round the front plug socket and in the (very heavy and flooded roads) rain the other week I had no issues. |

Either will do - I don't like the look of extendas, but the silicone works fine by itself. Make sure the drain hole is clear too!

Think this one has been answered enough but as others have said if you need a hand with anything get on the Aberdeen banter hotline and one of us Aberdeen folk will try to lend a hand.

Have you solved the problem now? Hope all is good and you have it running on both now.
Baph put grease on mine at the weekend, its not tested yet but when it rains I may go and try it out. If it works I will have a fender extender for sale (as I am to lazy to fit it LOL)

When you fit your extender use the screws or you might find it goes missing down the road.
Some reason the sticky fixers arn't very good on the sv fender |

Hi byes looks like it may be what ur all saying.
Front plug was a bit dirty so gave it a clean & a wee spray. ticking over fine for just now but as usual its raining up here again so ride home should put it to the test. |
