I'd say so.. but I dont understand the logic of it.

JT and CE are both two time WSB champs. Spies has some AMA under his wings, where arguably his opponent was erh.. Mat Miladin.. and a field of also rans.

As much as I like Spies, Is it to much for him to do and would he be wise to prove himself in WSB first before jumpng ship...

Dunno if Spies is better than Toseland but Spies is certainly worth a go.

I would expect something next year.

If Toseland doesn't get his finger out then he gone.

Remember both Melandri and Hayden and Spies will be looking for new rides next season and anyone seen as excess will be gone.

Toseland screwed himself by signing the extended contract with Tech3 so soon into his first MotoGP year. It doesn't give him the ability to drop back to WSB before he loses too much face in MotoGP with his constant low rankings. Doesn't give him the ability to move up to a factory team with a more competitive bike either.

How often does that happen for someone whose first Grand Prix is as part of a full season in the elite class on a satellite machine? So not counting wildcard rides.

We see it happen for 125-250 graduates who go straight to MotoGP, Stoner, Dovi, Melandri, but it's rare for an outsider, they usually ride satellite bikes and then leave the series like Xaus, Tamada, or go straight in to a factory team like Edwards, Vermeulen, Bayliss, Hayden. I don't pretend to have managed not to miss one, but the last I can think of is Hopkins, whose first GP season was on the Red Bull WCM Yamaha.

Just thinking out loud and it doesn't really mean anything . Toseland needs to be on a better bike, but I don't think it's likely to happen for him.

Marco Melandri is super duper.
I'm not saying that light.
But his efforts are putting others to shame.
That Kwak must be good though.

Any idea how long it takes for the BBC to upload the race onto the iplayer website???

I missed the race (still don't know who's won) and am still waiting on the Beeb to get it up on the internet. : (

Jeez I freekin hate the bbc....so full of promises but they never deliver! I was watching the NW200 intro on the iplayer the other day...AWSOME! at the ned they said that the races would be available via every portall inc iPlayer and cable...but still not seen it, and now no f***in GP. No idea what is going on here but they really need to up there communication between the presenters and the marketing geeks. I unfortunately found out who who the gp whilst surfing, but still haven't see the race!
By the way I'm pullng for Stoner but Rossi is God but want Pedrosa to get a look in but Lorenzo would be fun but Hayden needs a break and Toseland should get a job driving a bus . So pis**ed orf the bbc have RUINED my day....
