Sorry to drag up an oldish thread, but i wouldnt mind doing the same. How do i drain the fuel out of my tank and reserve?

Done mine the other day. I let it run as low as i would dare then lifted the tank, disconected the hoses (not much if any fuel leaked) then lower the tank, undo the hinge bolts, disconnect sensor cable, take off tap from under tank then pour fuel out, put some clean fuel in and shake up a bit then empty again. Then simply re fit!

The tap being the squarish metal gizmo that the tubes connect to?

Yep, there is a rubber gasket though so be careful not to drop or damage it, it is advised to replace every time you disconnect it though.

in all honesty i have not let it get low again but the petrol that came out was far from clear so must help a little?
