I've fitted the GSXR 1000 mirrors to mine. They are fitted in a completely different location though, and they do not attach to the sub-frame (yet). I've got them on thick plates under the plastics at the moment but I'll be sorting out an extension from the sub-frame next holiday. They are very sturdy items and the actual mirror is better than the original, in my opinion, and you get rid of the front indicators which makes the front end look neater, again in my opinion!
Hold on and I'll try to find a picture

Tried and failed!
The picture is in the East Anglia section. It's on page 4 (I think!) of the ride out thread at the top of the page. Mine's the only SV!

I'm getting a couple of plates made up by a sing making company to cover up the original mounting holes, and trying to get a little design on them (thinking phoenix at the moment) the mirrors angle down slightly but that will improve with the new brackets as the plastics flex a bit under the weight.
If you go for it I'll be able to get some more photo's and measurements out to you (and more when I make up the new brackets).
