I've had 2 go and bought a replacement one which had also had a tab missing.
Yeah if you're buying them from a shop that'll drill them for you but I bought cheap bars and fitted them myself.

Renthal 754-01-S bars, £34 including drilling & postage. Fitted them to a K3 for the cost of a couple of pints last week.

I have always filed off the tabs on switch gear when changing bars as it leaves you scope to get your switch gear "just-so" especially if you want to fanny about with the reach of the bars.

As said all you need is some electical tape round where you are going to place the switchgear and it will never move.

Next time it will be Fatbars tho'. Trick and fat. Nice.
