Don't replace the screen jsut yet, chances are it's the dc harness at the back. Does it flicker when the screen is moved?

Well, right now, I'm sat here with a steady screen, no flickering, but it's taken 15 minutes since turning it on to get it this way by adjusting the screen, tapping the back of it, smacking the back of it and bumping the bottom half with my fist. It always works in the end, but then if the screen gets moved, back to square one and it takes another 10-15 minutes to get it steady again!

Follow bandits instructions (I guess, not looked at them) but when the plastics are off make sure the thin wide harness at the back is securely in place, not hanging out at the connector or anything. If that doesn't fix it then it's probably the screen...but I hate distance diagnosing things.

Little tip, most laptops CAN output to a 2nd monitor so as a temporary measure you could connect your laptop to a cheap TFT until you get the lowdown from el bandito pat

edit: I am thick.

Yeah, he's got everything for that already as he doesn it all the time. It's weird but I've just learned to live with it now. I don't want to have it go through the TV all the time so I'll just let Dan read this and fix it for me....lol
