So i ask you this, how much movement is OK and how much would you say it too much?

I'm just having exactly the same issue. Bought a Shoei raid 2 was told by the "expert" in the shop that I'm definately an XL, bought one and was happy as larry with it. Started to get a bit loose and whilst at CMC last month there was a Shoei service van there. Was told it was miles too big for me. Have scince tried on a L and it feels loads better.
Was going to go for an X-lite 602 when Hein gericke emailed advertising the sale. Ordered a 601 for £95 in matt black and white to match the leathers was told it would be exactly the same fit as 602. It's not. Can't even get it on my head .
Probably going for an XR1000 now
Do you think anyone will buy a second hand lid? Great condition!!

there's videos on youtube by mcn in collaboration with arai importers, if you can put up with the 'buy a arai lid' propaganda probably worth watching search 'mcn helmet fit' or something. Mines pretty tight if I'm going sill speeds and move my head for a shoulder check or whatever the only indication of movement I get is I can feel the pressure on my forehead move to a slightly different point.

hello i have had shoie for years not changed cheek pads and even at stpid speds on track it dont move at all i think its too big mate measure your head and look at size chart http://psndealer.com/dealersite/imag...size_chart.htm i go slightly smaller as over time it beds in

I found I had the same problem with my Shoei XR1000 XS. I went in George Whites in Swindon to buy it and sought advice from them. They said it was fine in the shop and it felt fine at the time. However, after only a few times of wearing I really noticed a difference. I now have an Arai astro light XXXS and it fits perfectly.
