The staff at work use the current Blackberry and all seem to use it well, easy and havent really said anything negative about the phone, just the IT department who dont have a clue (all the good staff have either left or recently been transferred under TUPE).

As for the iPhone, I use this for personal use and it has to be the best phone I have every had. A bit peeved about the 3GS coming out so soon, but it was expected but will download the newer software on Wednesday.

Does your company get a trial period to test the new phones with a select number of staff.....that way you might get your hands on a few of the phones you dont end up buying....

Well the office can't decide, so we are going to run both in tandem iphones and blackberry - as it's a 2 yr contract. So will set them up and see how they go. I've been told the new 3G ones will be better equiped so will be interesting.

I use a Blackberry Bold 9000. Tosh, that is all.

Love my iTouch, but everyone has got one so won't bother.

The new HTC is looking a good buy.

The iPhone is a far more versatile device although a little fragile. I've seen far more damaged iPhones with cracked screens than ever before with a BlackBerry.

There were some limitations with the iPhone Exchange integration if i remember from our testing, mainly in the area of calender sharing and booking appointments.

Blackberry works extremely well but very expensive infrastructure.

Mate smashed his iPhone from dropping it from about 2 feet the other day, I constantly drop my phones, therefore this would be no good.

Stick with blakberry mate, mine had a deep yellow water experience yesterday and after being rinsed and fully dried out still works!

Ok, as promised.

These arent really major problems but they were significant niggles in our opinion. The main drawback we found with the Exchange integration of the iPhone was that you cannot create appointments as you could do in Outlook, you can receive them as invitations and accept etc, just not create them.

We also found that if you had a recurring meeting, in Outlook you get to choose to edit either the entire meeting series or just the specific meeting instance. On iPhone you get no choice other than to edit the series.

So, Exchange support is probably better then Blackberry provides but its still quite a way short of being a full replacement for Outlook. Maybe the version 3 software will improve this over the next few days. Will report back as soon as I know.

having used both phone i can concur the iphone is a much nicer device to use and is improving with every update.

these is an added bonus in the new software v3 that if the phone is lost you can delete the content remotely, yet to see how this works in practice, but it could be handy for businesses.
