Nope - just turn the key and nothing but once I had the ignition it was fine. If you do look at the green plug (it's the one that come from the ignition) it's much easier if you take the airbox off and have small hands.

this has just happened to my curvy
![]() got on bike, turn key to 'on' position, lights comes on ok, normal etc. clutch in and press the starter button, motor turns over, a few seconds later cuts off ![]() lights on the panel is still on, so clutch in and start again, motor makes a little turn then everything cuts out! ![]() key is still in 'on' position, but lights on panel are now gone, turned the key a few times still nothing, not a light, noise... i have no idea ![]() i've checked the killswitch, sidestand position. all the fuss in the main fuss box are fine. I'm now charging the battery, but I dont think its the problem. Could it be the starter relay? Edit: my bike near a Arson Arrack last week, could this be the cause? there are no surface damage to the bike, but could the heat cause some sort of interenal damage? but then again the bike get hot running normally anyway so I can't see it being the cuase. cheers guys |

On the curvey, check the known wiring chafing points. If the wiring rubs through on something metal attached to the frame it can short out and blow fuses, or all sorts of intermittent running glitches can occur.
Check behind both riders seat fixing bolts (they are slightly too long and can hit the wiring harness which is conveniently routed immediately behind them). Also take off the pillion seat and check on the left side towards the rear where the wiring wraps round a frame bracket. There can be rubbing anywhere round the headstock when the steering is turned, so look carefully around there. Check all fuses (battery compartment), including the main 35A one in the green relay behind the right side triangle.
