The reason I have the sv is because the missus wanted another child, and after the little chap was born she let me choose a new bike from the bike shop.
Bit of an extreme way to get another bike but I wasn't looking to get another one to be honest, but if she wants another child it'll be an Aprilia rsv4 next time.

I think the only tradeoff was that it had to have a comfortable-ish seat for her. Hence why it's an SV and not a gixxer... I should count myself lucky, while they were sorting out the paperwork she noticed that the passenger seat on the Goldwings were padded and had speakers!

Well, wife asked me if she could cash in the agreement today so off we went to Biscester today to the designer outlet mall just off the M40.
Well, after all that, she didnt find any she liked and come away with hardly anything.
So a stay of execution is on for the time being.
Has anyone else had to do a trade off to get their machines?
On an another note...
With all this talk of mr Stretchie being awesome on another post (who by the way i havent met but i find awesome) i thought i would tell everybody how awesome i think mrs specialone is.
She has been extremely understanding and very supportive of my desire to get into bikes and didnt even get some shoes (yet).
I had to split up with my girlfirend to get my bike!!
