Going to get a new set this afternoon, but now I have to decide which to get either Pilot Power or Pilot Power 2CT. Pair of PP's is £233, PP2ct are £258, both ride in/out free valves balance etc.
Is it worth it for the extra to get the 2CTs?
Found this on intertwit: http://www.bayarearidersforum.com/fo...d.php?t=201172

Now more confused than ever!

I've had both but can't remember if the 2ct are significantly better! decisions decisions...What does anyone think?

Got the pp's in the end not the 2CT. £233 fited. I've been using the 2CT for the last 10K and I think there is a difference in the profile. Having been using the 2CT's the PP do seem to be a little slower dropping into the corners, especially on the larger lean angles. Sure I'll get used to it, but shoulda stuck with the 2CT's. Still good though, all scrubbed in, just need to get to the edge somehow!

You got PP2ct's to last 10,000 miles!?!?!? Or you mean combined?

So there really is that much difference? I am supprised... Sorry if it was my advice that made you choose the PP's

You'll get used to it. I went from Supercorsas to Pilot Road 2CTs. For the first 200 miles I really regretted it. The PRs were really slow on turn in, however, you do get used to it and I really like the PRs now.

They don't have the outright grip of the Supercorsas (not much does) but they have enough for the road and they last extremely well.

I managed to get mine from Wheelhouse Tyres in Coleshill, North Birmingham for £222 fitted to the bike. (PP 2CT's too, i thought they sounded pricey at the time but maybe not by the sounds of it.) Nice tyres though.

They're pretty good! but not that good... I used 2 rears and one front in around 10k. The front was fubared by then tho, lots of tread but really 'feathered' i.e worn so that the front of each block of tread was worn really badly in comparison to the back. Caused through breaking 'spose.

It wasn't you! I did it all by myself....

Yeah it'll be fine...a bit more countersteering required and a few hundred miles
