I would be its on full. I think it might have needed a longer preload spacer, I got a shop to do the change so they might not have made them a little longer like they perhaps should have?
Im using 0.88kgmm springs and They recommended 0.9kgmm for my weight so im not so far out it should matter. So would me putting a longer spacer in fix the slight issue? Cheers |

My point is tyre pressures are completely personal for you and the bike your on. I believe my bike suited a low pressure on the front due to having very, very hard suspension. It had a tendancy to jump off the ground over a sucession of bumps and the tyre needed to flex to stay in contact with the road. I pumped up the tyre, I get less flex and less contact and bang no bike. Obviously the problem here wasn't tyre pressures it was the suspension that was cocked up but the tyre pressures made it work.

You can add your own spacers in the form of washers. Head down to your local engineering shop and get some that fit inside your forks. I'm running 5 washers each side in the hornet. Here's a tutorial I did for the Hornet forum. Works the same for the SV forks (did it to the curvy too) and should be possible with the falco... http://www.hondahornet.co.uk/message...t=fork+preload Check the washers fit into the fork legs by lowering one in on a piece of wire. make sure they aren't too tight as they'll strip your form caps. Sorry for diverting the thread! C Last edited by Berlin; 07-07-09 at 04:49 PM. |

![]() Nooooo, 29/33 for the CB500 (and the NSR as it happens). Sorry I wasn't so clear on that. I run 36/36 on the SV. I'll try experimenting a little, I want to have a play with the suspension too. I feel comfortable on 36/36, but then I haven't messed around with them so maybe I'll have a play this weekend. |
