I phoned them up and gave the final reading over the phone, I wasn't sure which was what so gave them the details plus the the readings were very different.
The day one was at 27200 and the night one was on 37916 these are their readings as of 19/07/08 I gave them a final reading of 27227 and 38103 and the bill was adjusted accordingly and i paid it.

I don't see why I should be held accountable for their incompetence

We had this and owed them £1300 extra for the year (my halide lights over the fishtanks dont help!!)

WHat I don't get is how it took them so long to work it out, especially as the previous tenants before me were with NPower as well

when i was settling the estate of my motherin law it came to light that the elec company had been charging her basd on her neighbours readings. They had been doing this from the day she moved in. WHat a fight that was, stick to your guns maye.

I had this after 8 months. They muddled it up as the higher reading was the night rate because of the storage heaters so just didn't charge me for 8 months while they 'figured it out' Southern Electric then just charged me the full whack in one go which was lovely of them considering I'd set up a standard variable direct debit and done absolutely nothing wrong. They're all jokers

Got a letter back from NPower today apologising for the mistake and writing off the £254 that they said I now owed them

They do look the wrong way round, the night meter is on for just 7 hours and demand is low in summer.
My Day readings were always the largest.
