I'm going to go and try this out today! Bought a Nintendo DS lite for my daughter last christmas and it's now packed up. Spoke to tesco customer services and they say it's down to Nintendo. Nintendo say I have to send it back for repair which will cost me about £30 as kitkat didn't keep the receipt ![]() Will report back later!

Who is "they"? Is it the dealer that is refusing to do the replacement?
Have you tried Moto Guzzi Customer assistance (00800 1 22 33 700)? It seems a fairly straightforward thing that should be under warranty. If it's just the dealer who doesn't want to do the replacement, you'll probably find customer assistance will phone them for you to discuss and if it is that clear cut, they'll tell the dealer it's covered and tell them to get on with it. Customer assistance is your next port of call after the dealer and they are on your side as a Guzzi customer, not on the dealers side who thinks he looses money on warranty work so refuses anything he can find an excuse not to do. The truth is whilst the dealer gets paid lower rates than his normal extortionate hourly charge for doing warranty work, if he didn't get warranty work he wouldn't have the Moto Guzzi dealership, it's part of the package, a good dealer accepts that and takes the good with the bad. Motoring publications receive this kind of stuff every day, they won't be at all interested unless they have lots of complaints about the same thing that makes it worth doing a story on it. They are there to sell newspapers and magazines, not provide free consumer assistance. Unless this is a long running dispute where you have tried other angles and are getting nowhere, copying in these motoring publications will have done nothing more than **** off whoever reads it in Moto Guzzi. When dealing with any customer complaint, always be nice and don't **** them off, until you have exhausted all your options and it's time not to be nice. You'll get much more help if the person you are dealing with likes you, thinks your a decent, reasonable, patient bloke who's had some bad service, but realises you'll get tough when and if you have to.
