For £1300 get yourself an oilcooled 750!

Edit: or on reading the OP properly. How much is it?
I wouldn't swap forks onto an SV, old technology, quite heavy, probably need a revalve and respring.

From speaking to my brother today, I could probably get it off him for £350-£400

Tragically I have yet to try out the RC45 (or RC30) but I'm willing to do a back to back test against the NC35 (or NC30), purely in the name of science of course!

For £350 do it, though the insurance on 400s isn't overly cheap.

Speak for yourself, costs me 112quid fully comp for me and my wife on an NC35 and RC24

Tragically however that NC35 is a little the worse for wear atm :-/

And how old are you? Any NCB with that?

For me when I did a quote it was the same price as the SV roughly. (about £500 at the time)

it was a lot more expensive for my son (25 at the time) to insure a 17 year old vfr than it was to insure a 5 year old sv.

31 and no, classic insurance which neither uses or gains NCB, cost about 7 pounds to add my wife and the NC35 to my policy for the RC24.

Would have been *lots* more through a 'modern' policy although last time I insured the SV it was 100 pounds!
