Na. There are 3 versions. FREE (With ad's) 24hr Ad free subscription or £10 a month type thing. Download the little bit of software, create an account, and robert's your dad's brother ...also, apprently you can use Audacity to record off there, althought this is illegal and the Government will reposses your house and give it to someone less needy..

You can get Audacity from www.Filehippo.Com. I Havent tried it yet, but its what the population recommend

It's a shame the quality of the music is so crap.

I got the free version before they went to an invite-only basis, didn't realise they'd done that!

Surely the whole point of the free version is that the advertising reaches as many people as possible? I can't imagine the advertisers being too happy that they're limiting their audience in the UK in this way...

EDIT: just read the bit about not needing an invite if you are in the UK - but I tried to setup a new accont & it is asking for an invite code, there doesn't appear to be any way around it, even though I'm in the UK...

Anywho, it is a great idea, though a bit annoying sometimes that certain songs / artists aren't available cos their record label has decided so. Most of my playlists are just albums that I don't own yet...

I set my account up last week and it works fine.

Thought I'd resurrect this, just found out about it and am wondering if its worth downloading? Anyone got anything extra to say about it? Good/bad?

If you don't want to install anything, use Grooveshark from within your browser.
